Kelimutu Crater Lakes

About
Kelimutu is a volcano in central Flores island in Indonesia. It has 3 volcanic crater lakes that differ in colour; one of them is blue in colour, while the other two are usually green and red. The lakes shift colour due to changes that occur within the geology and chemistry of the volcano, and they change colours independently of each other, as each lake has its own unique connectivity to the volcano's activity.
Kelimutu is sacred to the local Lio people, who believe the souls of the dead migrate there.
