Lake Bohinj

About
Lake Bohinj, the largest permanent lake in Slovenia, is a glacial lake located within the Bohinj Valley of the Julian Alps, and part of Triglav National Park. Known for its pristine, mirror-like waters and tranquil atmosphere, the lake offers incredible reflections of the surrounding peaks and forests.
People come primarily to chill out or to swim in the crystal-clear water, with leisurely cycling and walking trails to occupy them as well as outdoor pursuits like kayaking, hiking and horse riding. Bohinj is also rich in cultural heritage — the charming stone bridge and the Church of St. John the Baptist near the lake’s shore are iconic landmarks.
