Meaning

Big W or Big L refer to a significant win or loss. It is used to express triumphs/successes or failures/disappointments.

Example 1

Person A: "Guess what? I just closed a deal with that big client we've been pursuing!" Person B: "Wow, that's a Big W! Congratulations!"

Example 2

Person A: "I totally messed up the presentation today. It was a disaster." Person B: "Don't worry, we all have our off days. It's just a Big L. Learn from it and move on."
