Red-Lipped Batfish

About
The red-lipped batfish is a bottom dweller and is usually found within the sandy bottom of reefs or on the ocean floor. Although it's capable of swimming along the seabed, its fins are better adapted to work as pseudo-legs, which are used to 'walk' and perch while it surveys surroundings. The 'illicium' (structure on its head) is thought to be for luring prey in.
Location
It is found around the Galápagos Islands and off Peru.
